This Christmas was truly wonderful for us. I feel so blessed beyond measure. I learned such a valuable lesson this year and it was that I don't have to buy my kids a million presents for them to enjoy Christmas. I decided early that I wasn't going overboard this year and at times I wanted to change my mind because I was so worried that they were going to feel disappointed on Christmas morning. But quite the opposite happened actually. My kids loved Christmas this year and Hunter said that this was the best Christmas ever! And I have to agree with him. I loved it this year and I didn't feel the stress that I normally do. I just wanted to be able to focus on what Christmas was about and put Christ back in Christ-mas. I got to just enjoy my family and have a good time. We are truly blessed!

So we were long done opening presents and cleaning up breakfast when Kasey said that he dropped something behind the couch and needed me to help him move it. I thought that was kind of weird because I know he can move the couch just fine all by himself but I decided to be a nice little wife and help him. We started sliding out the couch and I saw what looked like a frame and I knew immediately that it was this picture of Christ that I REALLY wanted by Liz Lemon Swindle. I love this painting and have wanted it for a long time. I am so spoiled by my amazing husband. He loves to surprise me and he is so thoughtful and kind. I love you babe!

The boys made a gingerbread house and Grandma Vicki's on Christmas day and as you can tell it didn't take Stockton long to disassemble it. They love to make them so they can eat all the candy.

WOW! Somebody is spoiled! Well two somebodies I guess. Grandma Vicki and Papa Ben are so good to us. We love you guys! Thanks for all you do. This made Stockton's Christmas right here. This was all he wanted and was BEGGING for it. (and there was no way I was buying it for him) And he is mad about the picture, not the present. He hates to get his picture taken unless it is his idea. Little Stinker.

Sorry babe, I just had to put this pic on here. It is just too funny. You look hot in your Dr. Seuss PJ's!

Go BYU!

Hunter had fun playing in the snow on Christmas day. And there was lots of it. Nothing like a white Christmas thats for sure!

This year since I wasn't working I actually made Christmas goodies for our neighbors. I made carmel and chocolate covered pretzel sticks. There were fun to make and I will have to take a poll with the neighbors and see if they think it should become a yearly tradition. I will have to get some feedback on how they enjoyed them. They were pretty dang good if you ask me =)

I think you should keep them a tradition. They were delish!!! I'm glad your Christmas turned out so good! I got a Liz Lemon Swindle painting for Christmas too. I absolutely love her stuff!
