The Long Trek East....

As some of you know we are in Pittsburgh for what was supposed to be the entire summer. To make a long story short Kasey got a job offer from the power plant that he used to work for that was too good to refuse so we will be leaving next week to come back to the good old Moapa Valley for the rest of the year. This came as a total shock for us. This is very bitter sweet for us as we are really excited to be back home for a while but we are also very sad to be leaving Pittsburgh. We really love it here. We will be moving out of our townhome and putting our stuff in storage. My parents have been gracious enough to invite us to stay with them while we are there so that we can hopefully get ahead a little (haha). Well anyway blah blah blah.... Here is a little bit of our trip east......

(This is me apologizing for the plethora of pictures!)

This is what we looked like for about 3 days.

And this is our poor little traveler. I don't know how we achieved this feat but this mouse decided to hitch a ride at his own expense. I was so amazed at his placement that I had to take some pictures. You can see blood on the wheel well of the car where it somehow hit and it managed to land on the wheel well of the trailer. And traveled with us this way for a few hundred miles. So Gross.

We of course had to stop at the first Cabela's that was ever opened. It was old and lame. haha

We thought it would be fun for the boys and a neat experience to stop in Nauvoo on the way. It was a small detour but we thought it would be a nice break for the boys to get out of the car and stretch a little bit. However all they did was whine and complain about having to walk around and how tired their legs were. So we left after a few hours instead of spending a whole day like we had planned. Little brats! (no j/k)
Of course we had to get some prairie diamonds.
The Nauvoo temple is so beautiful. The tulips were in bloom and made for some beautiful pictures.

And finally.................... we made it, we made it, yah we made it!

All that driving just to turn around and come back home?! It looks like it was a fun trip, though. I love your view on Cabela's because if Kasey were posting this then I'm sure he'd have a bit of a different perspective:). Good luck with all these changes in life! We will miss you guys:(.

We are all bummed that you're not coming back to the neighborhood, but it sounds like a great opportunity for your family. Please update/comment often so we can keep in touch.

It'll be fun to be home a while. Too bad Pittsburgh was so short lived. I was planning on coming to visit out there. Stockton looks just like you in the pix with the red flowers behind. so cute!
